"The list of Belgian pianists active on the international scene is already quite long...They all differentiate themselves through their virtuosity, the creative imagination of their compositions and their natural sense of melody. A new name is to be added on top of this list: Anne Wolf, thanks to her first album Amazone..." (Etienne Payen)

"Parallel to a luxurious nature of jazzwoman, piano player Anne Wolf managed to capture the secret, unpredictable and elusive feeling of Brazilian music...A rare talent made of rigor, simplicity and modesty..." (Marc Danval)

"Sunny rhythms and melancholic melodies follow each other whilst always avoiding falling in the trap of soapiness..." (Claude Loxhay)

"Delicate touch, perfect command and modesty are the main characteristics of a piano player to be followed..." (Vers l'Avenir)

After her first experience as a leader of her own trio with percussionist Chris Joris and bass-guitarist Cedric Waterschoot (on Amazone album released under Igloo Label IGL 159- distributed in the BENELUX by AMG and in France by Abeille Musique), Anne Wolf won the jazz young talent DJANGO D'OR award (Belgium 2002), and decided to experiment a new formula with a quartet. The latter, more colorful (soprano saxophone, synths, percussions/drums), explores a repertoire mainly consisting of brand new personal compositions, but also covering a few jazz classics and some Brazilian artist's compositions. Anne Wolf Quartet gets subsidies from the Communauté Française de Belgique (French Speaking Community of Belgium) and is recognised by the Tournées Art et Vie (Art and Life Tours) under reference number MNJ080.
